Producing a new album is always exciting, especially because a lot of time has passed since THE RPWL EXPERIENCE. Many things have changed in our work: Although the lyrics have always been standing at the center, our first concept album will be different to other RPWL albums as we first went with the story and its chapters and afterwards composed the music.
Furthermore, this record is going to be the first „proper“ RPWL-Studioalbum for Marc and it’s Werner’s very first time with us in the studio. So, we have an overall new situation to start with. But I can already now anticipate that the joint work was not only great fun, as we are also super-happy with the results
At this point, I also want to present you the title of the album: BEYOND MAN AND TIME. It is indeed a real concept album with a continous story – different to WORLD THROUGH MY EYES or THE RPWL EXPERIENCE, that only had a common theme. But I don’t want to reveal more about the story at this point.
I’m very much looking forward to the upcoming tour through Europe, which is going to start in mid-April and which will lead us through half Europe.
I hope that you’re also excited about the new RPWL Album BEYOND MAN AND TIME, and that we’ll at least meet again on tour!!

The latest Special Issue of the Rock Classics Edition is now available in stores. Due to the theme "Pink Floyd" you do not only find interesting reports on a superb Music Legend, but also a sampler titled "Sons and Daughters of Pink Floyd". We are also represented with a Sampler Track and a double-site Interview - have fun reading!

Last week the recording sessions for the new album of RPWL started. As the drummer I'm always the first one to be in the studio, putting my parts to tape. I had a few very concentrated, exhausting but still great days recording the new songs – and hopefully with a nice result, too. The new CD will be very special for me, because it is the first one where I get to work on completely new material with the band.
Everyday I get a better idea about what the album is going to be like. For me personally, the idea behind it all, the main theme behind the music and the lyrics, is an absolute highlight. Kalle and Yogi have always strived to have a different theme and topic for each album, and they pursued this goal with even more enthusiasm this time. I think that they have more than ever gotten to what RPWL is about as a band.

But first of all we will play at the Eclipsed Festival in Aschaffenburg on October 15th.
I know the setlist already – and it will be a great night. Need I say more...?  ;)
